Ten best shops in the World | London | 4-2013
Designer Christopher Jenner’s Beaux Arts ceiling roses inspired by Westminster Abbey fuse convincingly with Japanese Manga padded walls and English Craft haberdashers drawers - I did say kaleidoscopic. As a result, Pen’s is rewarded with my curiosity, my inspiration to investigate, to momentarily escape into that rabbit hole and identify (monetarily), with one of its scents.

Stirling Ruby | Savile Row | 4-2013
Los Angeles-based artist Sterling Ruby’s interdisciplinary practice channels the conflicts between individual impulses and mechanisms of social control, American domination and decline, an engagement with irrationality and dysfunctional psychology, and its end result in upheaval.

Glamshops | 3-2013
London’s Regent Street is a highly decorated shopping drag in London’s West End. The street, which is lined with ornate Beaux Arts styled buildings, is the new home to Penhaligon’s eccentric new shop designed by Christopher Jenner. It’s been over 140 years since the doors of Penhaligon’s first emporium opened on London’s Jermyn Street, and now, the perfume connoisseurs are hoping to broaden the world of scent making with their highly detailed Edwardian inspired shop.

Afflante | The Netherlands | 2-2013
Regent Street crafts English architectural heritage to eccentric effect, sitting jauntily within the Beaux Arts style for which the street is famous. As the dictated and constrained moral values of Victorian England surrendered to a pre-war period of discovery, eccentricity and joviality.

Glass Magazine | United Kingdom | 2-2013
One of its most famous stores is on Regent Street, which has just been spruced up Edwardian-style by designer Christopher Jenner. The revamped store is modernity-meets-Edwardian grandeur, boasting purple padded walls and Brighton Pavillion dome chandeliers. It’s almost as much of a treat to enter the store itself, as it is to sniff and swoon over the olfactory treasures contained within. We recommend you have a nose around ...

This design is an assembly of these values created via pattern, form and texture in a synthesis of traditional English handcraft and high-tech manufacturing. Styled as a symbiosis of the classic and contemporary, the concept investigates a thoroughly current fusion of classic Edwardian splendour and Japanese Manga.
